The pager went off at 9:45am. Susanne called the number and was told that the doctors were finishing up the surgery. They told her that they would be coming to the PICU waiting room to give an update in a little while. Scott, Susanne, Chief (grandpa), and Moppy (grandma) migrated upstairs to await the news.
At 10am, there was still no news. The suspense was unbearable...
