Happy Birthday Baby Paxton! Where did the time go. Scott and Susanne had been through so much over the last year. Paxton had been through even more. It was so amazing to see where they had been to where they were now. It was a very bittersweet day. They were beyond excited that Paxton was such a fighter and had survived his first year of life. They were told early on that this might not be a possibility. The bitter part of the day came when they thought about how they had been apart as a family for far too long. A year of Paxton's life had come and gone. They wanted everything to slow way down so they could make time stand still. They didn't want a day to go by without Paxton knowing how very special he was to them. He was such a marvelous boy with an inner strength comparable to no one. His perseverance and fervor for life was what got him to where he was today. It was a day of celebration. It was a day of reflection. It was a day of thanksgiving. It was such an exciting time and they were ready to party. Bring on the cake!!!
