Back On Track

Paxton thankfully slept through the night. This was a relief for Susanne and Scott because they both had to be up early today. Scott had a meeting across town at 9:00am and Susanne had to be at work.

Poppy was set up to watch Paxton for the day. He was excited to hang out with his grandson. Paxton woke up right as Susanne was leaving. Poppy played with Paxton on his play gym as he started his first feeding of the day. He was going wild and crazy for his toys. He was kicking around and making noises. He was definitely wide awake from having a good night's rest.

Poppy worked with him during the first half of the feeding, but let Paxton play solo for the last half. It was always so cool to watch him discover things on his own.

Paxton had plenty of dirty diapers within just a few hours of being awake. One of the last ones was a doozy. Paxton started crying while Poppy was wiping him. He was concerned that his diaper rash was getting worse again. He decided that after he was all cleaned, he was going to let Paxton air dry. He took him downstairs to their favorite spot, which was right in front of one of the windows that had the most sunlight. Paxton was mooning the world while his tush dried out. Paxton loved every moment of it and he was so kind not to have any accidents in the process.

Paxton then played in his bouncer. He was getting so great at making the lights and music go off. It was the sweetest thing to watch his face light up when he was successful. It was easy to tell that he was saying in his head, "Did I do that?"

When Susanne and Scott arrived home for lunch, Paxton had just gone down for his afternoon nap. He looked so angelic all curled up and sleeping. He was the cutest thing that they had ever seen.

To their surprise, Poppy had made them a delicious lunch. It was special delivered right to them. They enjoyed their meal while they caught up on the happenings of their mornings.

Susanne's lunch break was over before she knew it. She left Scott and Paxton right as they were beginning the next therapy session. Paxton was working on sitting. He was beginning to be able to hold his position for a lot longer. After a short time of trying to keep his balance, he would crash and burn. Luckily his daddy was there to catch him.

Paxton had a great day full of fun and excitement. It also appeared that he had no problems with getting back on his normal routine. They were still unsure what was up with him yesterday, but they didn't care as long as he was feeling better.
