I Don't Want To Sleep, I Want To Bang On The Drum All Day

Paxton's recent record of sleeping through the night and waking up so peacefully ended last night. He obviously believed there could be too much of a good thing. Scott and Susanne didn't know what was up with him. He had such a rough night last night, but for an unknown reason. He was up every two to three hours from the second he closed his eyes. Susanne had to poke and prode Scott to get up the first two times since she had to work in the morning. She ended up getting up the third time to see what the problem was. After changing his diaper, snuggling him for a minute, and adding a blanket to warm his legs up, he went back down. She wasn't sure how long it would last, but he looked peaceful in the moment.

Paxton continued this trend throughout the day. He didn't go down for any of his naps and he was fighting hard not to go to sleep. Susanne felt horribly that she wasn't available to try to assist with the silly monkey. She ended up staying late at work and didn't even get home until after 8:30pm, which was unusual.

Susanne decided to give a go at it and try to put the bug down for the night. Unfortunately, Paxton didn't fall for it. He still wouldn't fall asleep. It was at that point that Susanne and Scott thought of the quote, "if you can't beat them, join them". They decided to have him hang out with them. He sat at the counter with his daddy, while Susanne cooked dinner. He sat in his bouncer and played while they ate. He even watched some television for some late night entertainment. Once his bolus feeding was finished around 10:00pm, they tried to put him down again. He finally gave in and passed out. They could only hope that he would have a better night.
