Day 13: I miss you!

Today was Susanne's first day visiting the hospital alone. Scott went back up to PA for his internship, which was difficult for all. Paxton did well overnight and seems to be regaining strength with a side of mild sass. He started to have normal appearing stools again, which is a major relief for his mama. During Susanne's visit today, Paxton slept the entire time. It is so rewarding to see his heart rate and respiration rate slow down when holding his hand. He looks so peaceful when he is snoozing. There was no new information on any tests or plans for the next step. He is currently stable and the doctors want to just continue as is for now. They are still predicting about 1 - 2 weeks before we can know what to do next.
It started snowing, yet again, today around 2:00 pm. It isn't supposed to be anything major like the other two storms, but enough with the snow already.

Scott and Susie. I am so sorry you are going through this. I had no idea. I'm sitting in my hospital room reading your blog and it brought me to tears. It sounds as if you are in a really good NICU. I love to hear the things they are doing for you and Paxton. I've treated many infants in a similar condition. Be strong in your faith and in each other. You will get through this. Paxton is beautiful, just beautiful. Please know I am here for you. You can call me on my cell anytime 513-293-2281. I will pass the word and ask everyone I know to pray for Paxton and your family. Love to you all, Kelly D.

Susie and Scott,
I am so glad you have the blog now. It was wonderful to see the pictures. Paxton is absolutely beautiful. I love the pictures of him holding your hands. We are thinking about you all everyday and praying that Paxton will come home soon. I sent him a book for Valentine's, but I addressed it to Eli instead of Paxton - I don't know where that came from! Anyway, we love you guys and we'll continue to visit "Paxton's Big Adventure" to get updates. The scripture from Proverbs is one of my favorites. I have it in a frame in our dining room. Take care and much love. Great Aunt Laura

I am so glad you are able to use the blog. Who would have known it would be such a great outlet and way to communicate his story and your journey. He is absolutely precious and I love all the pictures. You are such a natural and look wonderful with him in your arms. What a blessing to get to finally hold him. We are praying for you all daily and hope he continues to heal. He is truely a miracle and blessed to have such wonderful parents as you two. Stay strong this week. I'm sure it is tough without Scott as well as tough for him to be away. I miss you guys and hope we can talk soon. I love you ALL!
