Do Over

Paxton was truly sleep deprived from yesterday. He went to sleep around 6:30pm last night and didn't wake up until after 8:00am. He managed to sleep straight through the set up and breakdown of his feedings, medications being given, and diaper changes. Nothing phased the tired fellow.

Susanne spent the morning playing with Paxton and incorporating little bits of therapy here and there. She would be flying solo for most of today because Scott had traveled to Pennsylvania yesterday to visit with some of his old co-workers from his internship.

Susanne invited Julie over so that Paxton and his best friend Caleb could have a do over. The first time they had ever met, Caleb was not too thrilled and it scared Paxton. They both ended up crying. They were both hoping for a much smoother introduction this time.

They decided to enjoy the nice weather outside and go for a long walk with the boys. Caleb was bundled up in a cute hat, mittens, and toasty blanket while Paxton had just a receiving blanket covering him. Susanne was still shocked at how easily overheated Paxton got. She, for sure, was the complete opposite. They both tried to put baby sunglasses on them to protect their eyes, but they stayed on less than two minutes. Both of them seemed more aggravated with them on, then the sun shining in their eyes. They were hoping they would outgrow this at some point because it would really help protect them from the harmful rays and they made them look super cute.

After their walk, Caleb and Paxton got to have some face to face time. They definitely enjoyed each other's company a lot more this time. There were even a few smiles here and there. Susanne and Julie knew that this was the beginning of a wonderful friendship.

Scott returned home just in time to get ready for their evening plans. Scott and Susanne were going to meet some friends out for dinner and drinks while Moppy watched the bug. Moppy loved getting alone time with her sweet grandson. She chomped at the bit to see him anytime she could especially since they spent most of their time in NC these days.

She was delighted to see that he had grown so much and that he was making little bits of progress everyday.
