Get 'Er Done!

Today, Scott and Susanne were supposed to watch Cole and Parker. They would also have Paxton to take care of. Talk about diving all in. They were for sure going to get a taste of what parenthood would be like with more than one child.

Susanne got the message bright and early that Parker had acquired a fever overnight. This was so strange especially because he seemed to have felt just fine last night. Susanne and Scott immediately started worrying about Paxton's exposure to whatever Parker currently had. Parker had been up in Paxton's face trying to make him laugh all night. There had to have been definite sharing of some sort of germs. They would just have to wait and see if Paxton was clinical in a few days.

Since they didn't have to babysit the boys any longer, Susanne and Scott would be forced to get things done. Paxton also encouraged them to get things done by sleeping extra long after his morning playtime.

Once he was awake, they all headed out to run some errands. As a treat, they went to Sonic, which was one of the few true drive-in restaurants, for a late lunch. Susanne had seen a commercial for their new selection of specialty hotdogs. She had been so disappointed with her last hotdog experience in Boston that she needed to recover from it by having a do-over. It was an excellent choice. The hotdogs that they selected were all very delicious and well worth it. Susanne and Scott couldn't wait until Paxton could enjoy some of the small joys in life like yummy food.

Susanne was thrilled at how much she was able to get done with Scott's help last week. There seemed to be more and more reasons that him being home most of the time was a positive thing.

Susanne decided to make a fancy dinner for everyone this evening. She made pork chops for the first time, which she stuffed with spinach, sundried tomatoes, and goat cheese for everyone but herself. She made homemade mashed potatoes and baked asparagus. It turned out beautifully. It was the perfect meal to eat during "The Bachelor".
